The IRWIN® SPEEDBOR® 1/2-Inch x 6-Inch MAX Speed Bit has three tapered flutes that combine a high cutting speed with rapid waste ejection. This reduces bit clogging and eliminates time-consuming restarts. Each Irwin Speedbor Max bit has cutting spurs on the outer edge of each flute. These spurs scribe the material being drilled as you work, producing cleaner cuts with no edge damage. This 1/2-inch Irwin wood drill bit also has a self-feeding screw tip that keeps the tool centered while you work and eliminates the need for a pilot hole. It is 6 inches long, has 1-3/4-inch flutes and can drill holes up to 4 inches deep. The bit’s 1/4-inch quick-change hex shank fits standard drill chucks and 1/4-inch quick-change chucks, including impact drills.
