Hand-Operated Crimper with Permanent O and D3 Grooves
The BURNDY® HYTOOL MD68 crimper delivers up to 9,000 pounds of pressure, so you can crimp connectors to AWG 14 to 4/0 wire efficiently. Its spring-loaded die retention system holds a variety of tap, terminal and splice dies, and permanent grooves handle O and D3 dies. The Burndy Hytool mechanical crimper has forged steel jaws that are durable and a cast-aluminum frame that reduces weight. An adjustment screw lets you alter the tool’s hinge and jaw positions.
Burndy’s crimping tool has long hickory handles and an over-center cam, features that reduce the force needed to apply connectors. Anti-slip pads offer a secure gripping surface, and the hand-crimping tool’s large-diameter hardened steel hinge bolts and steel-backed bronze bushings open and close smoothly.
